Emanuele Tortora is an Italian photographer based in Vicenza, active since 2008. His work moves between commissioned photography and long-term personal projects, with a focus on design, interiors, still life, portraiture and documentary research.
He collaborates with companies, designers, galleries and communication agencies, developing visual projects for clients including Benetton, Sonus faber, Mondadori, Campagnolo, Cattelan Italia, Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Laura Bethan Wood and David & Nicolas.
After graduating from the Istituto Superiore di Fotografia e Arti Visive, he further developed his visual and technical approach at Fabrica, the Benetton Group’s creative research centre. He has also taught photography at I.S.F.A.V. in Padua and currently teaches at Iuav University of Venice.
Alongside his commercial work, his personal research explores landscape, memory and the relationship between human presence and the environment. His approach combines technical precision, sensitivity to materials and light, and a documentary attention to places, objects and their visual narratives.
